With art as pilot Jordens Små Samfund draws a vertical timeline from the past to the present.

The three chosen locations on the Danish island Bornholm - Louisenlund, Lilleborg and Kanonstilling G3 alltogether draw a psychogeographical map of historical, social and cultural events in the society of Denmark and Bornholm. A network of freedom fights, abstraction and quests for knowledge.

The nomadic exhibition starts at Louisenlund: one of the biggest monolith sites on Bornholm.

The monoliths are left undated as relics from a time with a radically different understanding of the world. Like art the monoliths can be seen as a tool for non-verbal communication.

On the second day the story of David and Goliath follows as the exhibition travels to Lilleborg.

A fortress built around year 1190, in a war-torn Denmark, at a time when three quarters of Bornholm was ruled by the archbishop of Lund. The location of Lilleborg is an analog to the oscillation between openness and privatisation. The walls of the fortress manifest that knowledge and thereby art has become systematised

In a time warp of hundredth of years the stones of the past from Louisenlund and Lilleborg has become pulverised and churned to concrete. Kanonstilling G3 is the last stop of the exhibition. The emplacement was built in the year of 1940 by the German occupying power as a base for the cannon which should insure dominance over the Baltic sea. However the emplacement was never equipped. Kanonstilling G3 now remains as an empty bunker with heavy thick walls where the artworks will stand out in the light of the missing canon.
